John Henry Rabens, Jr.

John Henry Rabens, Jr., 75, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Becky Rabens, entered into eternal rest Sunday, August 18, 2024. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends Friday, one hour prior to the service.

John was born April 16, 1949 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late John Henry Rabens, Sr. and Louise Campbell Rabens.

He was retired from SPAWAR after 34 years of Civil Service. He was an avid NASCAR and Clemson fan. John was a Life Member and past Exalted Ruler of Charleston Elks Lodge 242. He was also a Life Member of the Charleston Rifle Club.

In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by two daughters, Shelley Rabens and Cecilia DeAntonio; sister, Joan Walker (Howard); two granddogs, Fletcher and Bent LeGare; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by sisters Shirley Soule and Linda Mizzell.
