John M. Wilson Poirier, Jr., 71, of Charleston, South Carolina, died July 31, 2018. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 16, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 4:00 until 6:00 pm.
John was born February 4, 1947 in Ipswich, Massachusetts, son of the late John Murdock Wilson Poirier and the late Pauline Saulnier Poirier.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Poirier Harris of Hanahan, SC and his son, John M. Wilson Poirier, III of Rockton, IL; four grandchildren, Wyatt Harris, John M. Poirier, IV, Tristan A. Poirier and Micah Poirier; siblings, Karen Poirier, Dana Poirier, Anne Poirier, Sheila McKay, Vincent Poirier and Barbara Fossa; and former spouse and dear friend, Dottie Karst of Mount Pleasant, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Suzie Poirier.
