John Robert Norris

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of August 5, 2010, John Robert Norris, husband of Esther Collins Norris.  Residence, Edisto Island, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Norris are invited to attend the funeral services of the former at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Sunday, August 8, 2010, at two o'clock.  Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Saturday afternoon from five until seven o'clock.  Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Edisto Beach Baptist Church, 414 Jungle Road, Edisto Beach, SC  29438.

Mr. Norris was born on March 25, 1921 in Conway, South Carolina, son of the late William Monroe Norris and Ada Todd Norris.  He was a retired electrician with Mead Westvaco.  Mr. Norris was a member of Edisto Beach Baptist Church, Exchange Club of Charleston and was a Master Gardener.

Surviving are his wife Esther of Edisto Island; and his two sons, Nathan M. Norris of Edisto Island and David Glenn Norris of Clarks Hill, SC.
