John Martin McGlynn

June 20, 1946 — February 9, 2017

John Martin McGlynn, 70, of Cottageville, South Carolina, husband of Donna Lee Sliter McGlynn died Thursday, February 9, 2017. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 12:00 p.m. Entombment, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

John was born June 20, 1946 in New Britain, Connecticut, son of the late Edward T. McGlynn and the late Helen Jaskot McGlynn. He graduated from Northwood Institute in Midland, MI and was a retired Vice President of Carolina Waterworks. John was an avid boater, photographer, and artist.

In addition to his wife of 46 years, Donna, he is survived by his son, Todd W. McGlynn (Kelly), his daughter, Erin M. Nelson (Gabe); his grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, and Jackson Nelson, Conrad McGlynn, and Brooke King; his two brothers, Thomas E. McGlynn and Dennis M. McGlynn; and his three beloved cats, Andy, Annie, and Boots.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Karen McClellan.
