John Francis Mcgarrell

John "Jack" Francis McGarrell, 73, of Hanahan, SC, husband of Marie Chrzan McGarrell, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010.  A Funeral Mass will be at a later date.  Burial will be held at Massachusetts National Cemetery.   Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLESANT CHAPEL. Mr. McGarrell was born, July 6, 1937 in Boston, Massachusetts, son of the late Michael McGarrell and Mary Colleran McGarrell.   He received his BA from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  In 1996, Jack retired from the Polaroid Corporation after 39 years of service in various management positions. He is survived by his wife, Marie Chrzan McGarrell; and his sister, Marie Murphy of Fort Myers, FL and Marshfield, MA.  The family requests memorials be made in Jack's memory to the American Institute for Cancer Research, 1759 R Street NW, Washington, DC, 20009.
