John James "Jim" Massalon, Jr., 61, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2010. The relatives and friends of John Jim Massalon are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Monday, August 23, 2010 in Christ Episcopal Church, 2304 Highway 17 N, Mt. Pleasant at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the churchyard. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 22, 2010 in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Mr. Massalon was born November 5, 1948 in Charleston, South Carolina.  He was the son of the late John James Massalon, Sr. and Corine Mitchum Massalon.  He retired from Uniroyal/Gates Rubber Company.  He is survived by his sister, Joye Bruorton of Charleston, SC; half-sister, Grace Kinman of Miami, Fl; two nieces, Brandi Bruorton and Jessie Reynolds; and one great-nephew, Jeremy Bruorton. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2711 Middleburg Drive, Suite 1080B, Columbia, SC  29204.
