John Anthony Mart

John Anthony Mart, 57, of Summerville, SC, husband of Frances Charlene Webb Mart died Wednesday, November 14, 2018. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018, at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 12:00 pm. Interment at Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery, Islandton, SC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

John was born June 26, 1961 in New Orleans, LA, son of the late Merlin Mart and Wilhelmina Morganstern Mart. He served his country in the US Navy and was a Civil Service Engineer. John was a member and past Deacon of Northwood Baptist Church in North Charleston, SC and formerly a Deacon of Faith Baptist Church in Rhode Island.

He is survived by his mother, Wilhelmina Mart of Idaho; wife, Charlene Mart; three sons: John Anthony Mart, II (Lindsey) of GA, Christopher Mart (Andrea) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Joseph Mart of Summerville, SC; daughter, Caroline Mart of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three grandchildren: Henry Mart, Charlotte Mart and Jack Mart; six siblings: Margaret Ann Nash, Phillip Mart, Clifton Mart, Charles Mart, Frank Mart and Pauline Vadood.
