John Trezza Marino

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Trezza Marino, a beloved husband, father, and friend. John was born on May 30, 1951, and passed away on March 27, 2023, at the age of 71. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 1950 Darrell Creek Trail, Mt. Pleasant, SC at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Mepkin Abbey, 1098 Mepkin Abbey Rd, Moncks Corner, SC at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel. 

John was married to his loving and devoted wife, Jane Eve Jaskula Marino. Together, they built a beautiful life that spanned across three states and almost five decades, a true testament to their enduring love and commitment to each other.

The most loyal and helpful friend you could ever have, John's compassion for his family and friends was evident in everything he did.

John was happiest in the great outdoors, building gardens, trimming his apple trees, or finding new projects for his sons to tackle. A kid at heart, John had a sweet tooth that could never quit and loved crafting clues to treasure hunts for his two granddaughters to discover.

John had a lifelong love for poetry, especially Robert Frost and would often recite lines he enjoyed to others.

John is survived by his wife, Jane; sisters, Frances Strait and Elvira Schneider; sons, Peter Marino (Bryan), Mark Marino (Nina); and granddaughters, Josie and Abby; cousins; nieces and nephews; and many close family members. John was predeceased by his parents Benedetto and Henrietta and his brothers, Christopher and Benedict.

The family would like to especially thank Cathy and her son, Christopher and family, for their loving support.
