John Thomas Lawrence, Sr., 74, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, husband of Linda L. Ryan Lawrence entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 19, 2021. According to the family wishes, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.
John was born March 5, 1947 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was a maintenance mechanic and worked for the state of SC for many years. In his spare time, John was an avid collector of both model automobiles and coins. He was very meticulous with his record keeping and had each and every item inventoried. He was a good family man. His family enjoyed spending time attending football games and John adored his grandson, "LJ".
He is survived by his wife Linda; two sons, John Thomas Lawrence, Jr. of Goose Creek, SC and Jeremy Ryan Lawrence (Ashley) of Moncks Corner, SC; one grandson, Jeremy Ryan Lawrence, Jr. "LJ" and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dale Lawson and one brother, Robert "Bobby" Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in John's name to the American Heart Assoc. of SC Memorial Processing Center 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
