John "Jak" Andrew Krauss

John Andrew Krauss, 76, of Hollywood, South Carolina, returned to God on December 6, 2024. Born on Johns Island, John “Jak” was the youngest of three children born to Howard Warren Krauss Senior and Electa Brown Krauss. Jak had a love for the water starting in childhood and if he wasn’t on his porch enjoying the sunset over the intercostal, you could find him on his boat, fishing with family and friends. Right by his side would be the love of his life, his wife Judith “Jamie” Krauss. Jak was a proud Army Veteran of the 26 Engineers serving his country in the Vietnam War. This entrepreneur was the true demonstration of a self-made man, proving that hard work leads to success. He was also a man of compassion, helping anyone that crossed his path. We are better people to have known him, but he has left a hole in our hearts that will be never filled.

Jak is survived by his wife, Jamie, two daughters, Wendy and Kerri, and his son, John Jr.

Jak is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Electa and siblings, Howard Krauss Junior and Electa Hoyle.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project - https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org

A Celebration of Life will be held February 22, 2025 at the Harbour Club at Westedge, 22 Westedge Street, Charleston, SC, 29403, at 11:00 am.
