John Edward Klein

John Edward Klein, 69, of Moncks Corner, SC, husband of Rosemary Klein died Thursday, August 23, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 27, 2012 in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 10:30 am. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell with military honors will follow at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. A Rosary will be held at the chapel Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 3:00 pm with visitation to follow until 5:00 pm.

John was born January 9, 1943 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Edward Lawrence and the late Ollie Bell Rivers Klein. A US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a sheet metal mechanic at the Charleston Navy Yard until his retirement in 1994, after which he worked at Wal-Mart for 15 years. In addition to his work, he also enjoyed woodworking, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rosemary Klein of Moncks Corner, SC; his daughter, Karen Klein of Moncks Corner, SC; his son, Eric Klein and his wife Shea of Goose Creek, SC; his daughter, Christina Easterling of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Olivia Klein and Edan Klein of Goose Creek, SC, and Mylie Easterling of Lexington, SC; and his brother, Wilson Earl Klein and his wife Carol of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
