John T. Hunter

John Thomas Hunter, "Tom" 66, of Charleston, SC, died Sunday, April 3, 2011, in Roper Hospital.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Friendship Baptist Church, 5032 Lackawanna Blvd, North Charleston.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 5, 2011. 

Born November 13, 1944 in Alma, GA, he was the son of Robert Glenn Hunter, Jr and Inell Lynette Williams Hunter.  He was the owner and operator of T. Hunter Enterprises, locally.

Tom is survived by his fianc�e, Michele DeCandio, of Charleston, SC; daughters, Tamora Hunter Cornwall of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Kimberly Hunter Pruett and her husband Chip of North Charleston, SC; a sister Martha H. Goodman and her husband Dr. Benjamin Warren Goodman of Hickory, NC;  grandchildren: Taylor McKenna Cornwall, Hunter Jackson Cornwall and Eliza Grace Pruett; a nephew, Robert Goodman and his wife Karen of London, England; a niece, Caroline McKinney and her husband, Kyle of Greenesboro, NC;  aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Carter of Alma, GA and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hunter of Summerville, GA; cousins: Mr. and Mrs. Bobbie Fenn of Brunswick, GA, Dr. George Williams of Alma, GA and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kuzniak of Tunnell Hill, GA; his fianc�e's children, Jennifer Lyn Beckman of Summerville, SC and Jeffrey Beckman and his wife Marie of Hollywood, FL; his fianc�e's grandchildren:  Ashley Gadsden, Kendall Gadsden, Jonah Beckman and Tristan Beckman; and his first wife Jennie Huggins Hunter Snouck-Hurgronje.  There are many more extended family members that love and will miss Tom very much.
