John Douglas Hepburn, 60, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 22, 2025. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Doug was born August 9, 1964, in Urbana, Illinois, son of the late Jack Leonard Hepburn and the late Norma Jean Franklin Hepburn. He graduated from Johnson and Wales University with a degree in Culinary Arts and spent his career working as an Executive Chef. He spent the past 13 years as executive chef/ manager for Aramark International Food and Hospitality Services. Doug was a huge sports fan, specifically the Cubs and the Bears. He was also a fan of the U of I football and basketball teams. He, of course, loved to cook but also enjoyed spending time outdoors hiking and kayaking with his family. He also enjoyed playing football, baseball, and golf in his teenage years and beyond.
He is survived by former wife, Traci Louise Silver Hepburn of Mount Pleasant, SC; his two sons, John Nicholas (Nikole) Silver Hepburn of Charleston, SC, Alec Jacob Silver Hepburn of Mount Pleasant, SC; his daughter, Lindsey Margaret Silver Hepburn of Mount Pleasant, SC; his two brothers, Kirk (Julie Ann) Hepburn of Chicago, IL, Darin Hepburn of Urbana, IL; and his much loved cat, Molly "Mo Mo". He was known for his great sense of humor and was a wonderful dad and husband. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. There will be a memorial service Celebration of Life in Urbana, IL at a later date.
