John W. Greenhill, Jr., 69, of Goose Creek, SC, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016. His funeral service will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am. Interment with military honors will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

John was born February 19, 1946 in Charleston, SC, one of five children of the late John William Greenhill, Sr. and the late Jannie Nora Whetsell Greenhill. He was a Sergeant in the US Air Force and veteran of the Vietnam war. John received two associate degrees from Trident Technical College and was a mechanical and structural engineer. He was co-owner of Harbourtowne Associates, III. John was a member of First Baptist Church of Goose Creek and also an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen L. Greenhill; daughter, Angela D. Lane (Charlie); son, John Dwayne Greenhill all of Goose Creek, SC; grandchildren: Chazz, Tyler, Jordan and Mason Lane and Devin and Kaden Greenhill; great-grandson, Hayden Lane; two sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Munn (James) of Summerville, SC and Linda Gamble (Bill) of Summerville, SC; sister-in-law, Oma Greenhill of Bonneau, SC.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Greenhill and Guy Greenhill.
