John William Galbary

John William Galbary, 74, of McClellanville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Arrangements are being handled by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

John was born on November 18, 1950, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, to the late John Galbary, Jr. and the late Shirley Myers Galbary. Known for his dedication to education, he made a meaningful impact during his time as a teacher. John had a profound appreciation for the great outdoors, often immersing himself in the beauty of nature. His passions included kayaking, canoeing, hiking, and camping, activities where he found solace and joy. A lover of birds, he also had a deep faith in the Lord that guided and inspired him throughout his life.

He is survived by his sister, Mindy Patton (Lenny) of Coatesville, PA; a cousin, Peter Kornack (Claudia); and nieces and nephew, Kara Pinkins (Al) of Lubbock, TX, Danny Patton (Terri) of Downingtown, PA, and Rylen McDevitt (Steve) of Atlanta, GA. John is also remembered with affection by numerous cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, and friends who were fortunate to know him.

John William Galbary leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and a commitment to both nature and education that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
