John Ivan Egerton-Green

John Ivan Egerton-Green, 86, husband of Sharon Hox, Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010.  Ivan was born August 31, 1924 in London, England, son of the late Royston Cecil Egerton-Green and Dorothy Cooper Egerton-Green.  At the age of 14 Ivan joined the British Merchant Marine and later enlisted in the British Royal Marines during WWII serving in the Pacific.  He loved the sea, he loved roses, enjoyed traveling, adored living in America and living life large.  He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sharon Hox of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She will sit Shiva at the residence Monday, December 6, 2010 and Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service for Ivan Egerton-Green on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hadassah, 4004 Alpheretta Court, Charleston, SC 29414.
