John George Edmunds

March 31, 1938 — October 15, 2015

SCPO John G. Edmunds, USN (Ret.), 77, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Toshiko Edmunds, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 15, 2015. His funeral service will be held Sunday, October 25, 2015 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston at 1:00 p.m. Interment with military honors will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Edmunds was born March 31, 1938 in Wallingford, Vermont, son of the late Ralph Edmunds and Catherine Morris Edmunds. He served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars during his 20 year Naval career. He retired from civil service. John was a member of Newport Masonic Lodge No. 706 in Newport, NC.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Toshiko Edmunds; two brothers, Charles Edmunds and David Edmunds; and a sister, Priscilla Wortman, all of Rutland, VT.
