John Christopher "Chris" DuPree, 56, of Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina, of entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 20, 2022. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022 in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 30 Race Street at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday in the Greek Orthodox Church from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with Trisagion beginning at 6:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Chris was born October 20, 1965 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of John M. DuPree, Jr. and Mina Philipps DuPree, Jr. He was a graduate of James Island High School and worked on the waterfront with ILA. Chris was an avid hunter, fisherman and lover of dog hunting.

He is survived by his parents, John and Mina DuPree of Wadmalaw Island, SC; two daughters: Aubry Michelle DuPree and Jessica Ann DuPree both of James Island, SC; and two brothers: Pano Michael DuPree of Johns Island, SC and Gregory Mark DuPree (Aimee) of James Island, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity Building Fund, 30 Race Street, Charleston, SC or to the Lowcountry Land Trust, 635 Rutledge Avenue, #107, Charleston, SC 29403.
