John Randolph Dinkelspiel

Dr. John Randolph Dinkelspiel, 77, of Seabrook, South Carolina, husband of Barbara Anne Burgess, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 6, 2013. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy.
John was born July 21, 1935 in Dullich,England, son of Ernst Dinkelspiel and Charlotte Itzig Dinkelspiel. He was a retired Management Consultant and devoted much of his career in strategic development with E.I. Dupont Corporation. Dr. Dinkelspiel held an undergraduate degree from Amherst College and a Masters & Doctorate from Harvard University. He was active with Habitat for Humanity, Charleston Symphony Orchestra, Jonathan Green Week, Story Telling Festival, 2013 with the Charleston County Public Library and Charleston Promise Neighborhood.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Anne Burgess of Seabrook, a daughter, Judith D. Silverman and husband Rick of Newtown, PA; a son, Karl H. Dinkelspiel of Portland, OR; sister, Lore Stromberg of Croton on Hudson, NY; two grandchildren, Trevor L. Silverman and Cara J.M. Silverman.
