John Adams Clayton, 32, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Anna Chykulova Clayton, died Saturday, April 16, 2016. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 in the Seacoast Christian Community Church, 750 Long Point Road at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends Friday, April 22, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. .
John was born December 12, 1983 in Orangeburg, SC, son of George Thomas Clayton, Jr. of Manning, SC and Jane Williams Clayton of Mt. Pleasant, SC. He was an X-ray and MRI technician at the Southeastern Spine Institute in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
John was a graduate of Wando High School then Trident Technical School as a radiology technician. During his employment with Southeastern Spine Institute he furthered his education at the Medical University of South Carolina and was certified as an MRI technician. John loved his wife and family and friends and his dog, Hugo. His hobbies were sailing, camping, cycling, kayaking, target practice and gun collecting. He will be remembered for his strength, sense of adventure, kindness and compassion, great sense of humor and his charismatic personality.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Anna, he is survived by his siblings, George Thomas Clayton III, of Manning, Glen Tyler Clayton, of Mount Pleasant (Corrin Clayton), Sean Philip Smith, Hannah Grace Clayton, Katherine Smith Marlowe (Jordan Marlow), and step-mother, Lisa Smith-Clayton; nieces and nephews and many loving, aunts and uncles and cousins.
