John Thomas Brady, age 19, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

John Thomas was born on August 5, 2006, in Cary, North Carolina, the son of Edward Peter “Ned” Brady III and Susan Marie (Papp) Brady. A graduate of Wando High School, John Thomas was a young man of many talents and passions. He was an avid outdoorsman who found peace on the water, whether he was surfing, fishing, scuba diving, or building his own surfboards. He had a gift for music, frequently playing his guitar. At Wando, he was an active member of the DECA club and enjoyed working at the Boathouse restaurant on the Isle of Palms.

As a freshman at The Citadel, John Thomas was dedicated to his studies in Marketing and Business Development. He grew in his faith through the Baptist Student Ministry and found joy in the brotherhood of his classmates. Above all, he loved his family, his friends, his dog, and the quiet beauty of a Lowcountry sunset.

He is survived by his parents, Ned and Susan Brady of Mount Pleasant; and his brother, Edward Lucas Brady.

His Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 11, 2026 in the The Church at LifePark, 1151 George Browder Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the church an hour before the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
