His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 in J.HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.John was born October 18, 1953 in Norfolk, Virginia, son of the late James L. Bloomingburg and Dorothy King Bloomingburg. He was a Superintendent with Cullum Constuctors Inc.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brenda Bloomingburg, two sons, Jim Bloomingburg (Karen) and Matt Bloomingburg all of Charleston, SC; two brothers, Jack Bloomingburg of FL and Jerry Bloomingburg of Ravenel, SC; two sisters, Jean Seel, and Ginger Barnes both of Charleston, SC, one granddaughter Tobie Claire Bloomingburg. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Bloomingburg.
