John David Bailey, 51, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, lost his battle after a lengthy illness on July 6, 2012. The family will receive friends, Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 5:00 to 6:00pm at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. The funeral service will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
David was born May 14, 1961 in Conyers, Georgia, son of Glenn and Brenda Bailey. He worked in the automobile collision repair business for many years as manager of Meredith Paint and Body, and later owner of Daniel Island Collision. David loved to fish and go shrimping with his friend Tom Dale. He also enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes.
He is survived by his parents of Covington, GA; three sons, David Brian Bailey, of Covington, GA, Hayden Matthew Bailey and Brandon Michael Bailey, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one sister, Penny Haun and her husband Danny of Oxford, GA; one niece, Ambra Smith and her husband Josh of Concord, GA; one great-niece, Addison Smith of Concord, GA; a nephew, Mickey Lowe, Jr., and his wife, Kelly; two great-nephews, Jayden Lowe and Gavin Lowe; four aunts, Janet Hill and her husband Dan, Charlene Wallace, Pamela Moore, and Kim Lupton and her husband Moe; and two uncles, Bill Bailey and his wife Von, and John Wallace. David will be missed and remembered by all who loved him.
