Joe Milton Beasenburg

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of July 9, 2011, Joe Milton Beasenburg, husband of Cora Lou McConnell Beasenburg.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Milton Beasenburg are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, in New Beginnings Community Church, Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 1:00 pm.  The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service between11:00 and 1:00 pm. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mr. Beasenburg was born April 22, 1942 in East St. Louis, IL, the son of Milton Hays Beasenburg and Eugenia Barton Beasenburg. He was the owner and operator of Charleston Marine Services. Mr. Beasenburg was a member of New Beginnings Community Church and the James Island Yacht Club. He served as Chief Quarter Master (SS) with the United States Navy as Navigator.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years of James Island, SC; three sons: Anthony G. Beasenburg and his wife Cindy of James Island, SC, Joey M. Beasenburg, Jr. and his wife Shelly of James Island, SC and Mark P. Beasenburg of Mt. Pleasant, SC; nine grandchildren: Tye, Ryan and Madison of James Island, Cody, Bailey, Carter and Riley of James Island, Mya and Luke of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one sister: Judy Beasenburg of Pensacola, FL and nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to New Beginnings Community Church, 849 Ft. Johnson Road, Charleston, SC 29412.
