JoAnn G. DeLaney of Mount Pleasant, SC, wife of James L. DeLaney, died Friday, May 9, 2014. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-7 pm in Click Funeral Home and a graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 am in Concord Masonic Cemetery, Farragut, TN.

JoAnn was born in Concord, Tennessee, daughter of the late Joseph Gheen and Hazel Benson Gheen. She and her husband were formerly longtime residents of Columbus, GA. She was a retired teacher. She and her husband, James, are members of East Cooper Baptist Church and volunteers for East Cooper Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her husband, James L. DeLaney of Mount Pleasant, SC; son, John DeLaney and his wife, Kimberly, and their son, Harrison, of Hendersonville, TN; and brother, James Gheen and his wife, Jane, of Concord, TN.
