Mrs. JoAnn W. Buck, loving wife for 58 years to William V. Buck, passed away peacefully and was surrounded by her family at their home in Hanahan. She is predeceased by parents James W. Wood and Sybil E. Player. She is survived by an only sister, Sonya E. Floyd. She is also loved and survived by her husband's two sisters, Margie Stephens and husband "Bill" and Dolores Martin and husband Steve.

JoAnn was the loving mother to four children: Sherry Buck Washington and husband Raymond, Cynthia Buck Fisher, Tami Buck Iski and one son, Victor W. Buck all of Hanahan.

Her surviving grandchildren are: Michael Armstrong, Chad Pease, Justin Pease, Dustin Pease, Tamaney Tilton, Joseph Tilton, Matthew and Preston Long and Zakery Buck all who adored her. There are nine surviving great-grandchildren.

Among JoAnn's passions were tennis matches, medical charities and social activities which always included life-long friends and family. She was admired by her ability to make perfect memories with her contagious appetite for dance. One never realized the life-lessons being taught, but through her love of shagging she used the wisest method of all…her laughter and fun.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm with the Rosary at 6 pm Sunday, October 23, 2011 at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Monday, October 24, 2011 at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1106 Fort Drive, Hanahan, SC 29410. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Divine Redeemer Catholic Church.
