Joan Marie LeMatty, 81, of Summerville, SC, died Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Her Mass Of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 30, 2014 in the St. Theresa the Little Flower Catholic Church, 11001 Dorchester Road at 9:00 am. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will be held in Dorchester Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Joan was born March 23, 1933 in Placentia, Newfoundland, daughter of Vincent McLennon and Teresa Power McLennon. She was a member of St. Theresa the Little Flower Catholic Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Rosalie LeMatty of Summerville, SC and Karen Cooke (Creig) of Hanahan, SC; three sons: Wayne LeMatty (Mary) of Summerville, SC, Timmy LeMatty (Amelia) of Goose Creek, SC and Harold Phillip LeMatty, Jr. (Joyce) of Holly Hill, SC; two brothers, Patrick McLennon (Bridget) and Vincent McLennon both of Newfoundland, Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Phillip LeMatty, Sr. and a son, Stephen Patrick LeMatty.
