Joan Grace Krieg

Joan Grace Krieg, 92, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 29, 2024. Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 950 Darrell Creek Trail at 11:00 am, followed by Interment, at Holy Cross Cemetery, Charleston. The family will receive friends at the J. Henry Stuhr Mount Pleasant Chapel from 5:00 pm to 7:00 on January 3rd. 

Joan was born January 23, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of Henry and Johanna Pfennig. She was an Office Manager at Molloy College where she also received her degree in gerontology. Joan was devoted to her husband, Robert (Bob), for 62 years. She was deeply committed to her family and her faith. Joan and Bob were active members of St. Benedict parish in Mt. Pleasant. Joan loved reading, gardening, traveling and being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joan was a loving, kind and generous woman. She had a beautiful smile that she shared with everyone around her. 

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Kerley (Kevin); son, Kenneth Krieg; grandchildren, Sean Kerley (Kate), Kate Kerley (Zac Heneidi), Tim Kerley (Julia), Kerianne Krause (Justin), Cara Krieg (Regan); seven great-grandchildren: Mason, Thomas, Lennon, Jackson, Charley Grace, Madison and Finn, in addition to many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Bob and her daughter, Kathie Krieg.
