Mrs. Joan Arden Eynon, 83, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of John Robertshaw Eynon entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 3, 2014. Her Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 7, 2014 at 2:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. Burial services will be Private.
Joan was born October 16, 1930 in Newburyport, Massachusetts,to Frank and Clara Hudson. She made James Island her home for the last 50 years and was retired from the Medical University of South Carolina. Joan loved her country and was the proud wife a veteran, mother of veterans and the grandmother of veterans.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Leslie Luden and her husband Wayne. She is also survived by her three sons, John T. Eynon and his wife Sandy; David M. Eynon and his wife Jane and Bobby K. Eynon and his wife Sally; sister June Woundy and her husband Dave; sister-in-law Sandy and her husband Ken. She was the beloved grandmother of eleven and the great-grandmother of nine with a tenth due very soon.
In lieu of flowers the family invites you to honor her life and patriotism by making a donation to VFW National Home for Children, 3573 S Waverly Road, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827.
