Joan Mason Bowick, 86, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Harold Burnett Bowick, entered into eternal rest Friday, May 21, 2021. Her Funeral Service will be held at graveside Saturday, May 29, 2021 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Rd., Charleston, SC at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC.
Joan was born October 2, 1934 in Clifton Springs, New York, daughter of William Oliver Mason and Mary Tuttle Mason. She was a retired Accounting Technician at The Citadel, Charleston, SC.
She is survived by two daughters, Yvette Elizabeth Diaz of Canton, NC, Suzette Marie Babb (Burnie Babb) of Henderson, NC, her son, William Robert Diaz (Denise Fraiser) of Charleston, SC, step son, Michael Burnett Bowick of Charleston, SC, sister, Nancy Ann Mason of High Falls, NY, six grandchildren, Robbie, Sarah, Kristina, Joshua, Joanie, and Matthew and many extended grands and great grands.
