Jimmie Lee Freeman

Jimmie Lee Freeman, 79, of Summerville, South Carolina, husband of Michele Preteau Freeman entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 4, 2018. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.

Jimmie was born November 11, 1938 in Easley, South Carolina, son of the late Julian Andrew Freeman and Georgia Geneva Bell Freeman. He was a graduate of The Citadel class of 1985, past president of The Exchange Club of Charleston, past president of the Coastal Carolina Fair, past president of The Exchange Club of Charleston Foundation and Director of Support Services at Charleston Public Schools.

He is survived by his wife, Michele Freeman of Summerville, SC, daughter, Terri Lynne Shannon, two sons, Brian Scott Pallozzi of Springfield, VA, William Alan Freeman (Christine Marie) of Charleston, SC; two step-children, Janet Wynne of Schenectady, NY, John Dufresne of Troy, NY; sister, Betty Ann Ritts of North Charleston, SC; three brothers, Robert Wendell Freeman of North Charleston, SC, William Freeman of AL, Joe Earl Freeman (Cheryl) of TX, five grandchildren, Patrick D. Overton, Michael Freeman, Mikayla Weatherford, Kevin Pallozzi, Kristin Cataquet and step-grandchild, Crystal Vandenburgh; seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye Harrell Freeman.
