James "Jim" Edwin Rabun, 50, of North Charleston, SC, died July 1, 2012 in a local hospital.
Born March 15, 1962 in Chattanooga, TN; he was the son of William Eugene Rabun and Sharon Lee Smith Rabun. He graduated from Hanahan High School in 1980 and attended Trident Technical College. Jim was a huge Braves fan, an avid reader and fisherman. Jim never met a stranger and was a fun loving guy who was famous for saying "I'm living the dream." He spent ten years out West in Yellowstone and in Utah working as a chef. He was a Chef for Applebee's Restaurant.
Jim had requested to be an organ donor and now three lives will be changed because of his gift.
Mr. Rabun is survived by his siblings, Nancy Rabun Hall of Vail, CO, Jeff A. Rabun and his wife Carole of Ladson, SC and Judy Rabun Burbage and her husband Randy of Hanahan, SC; nieces and nephews: Lauren Lambert, Rabun Jones, Jessie Rabun, Greg Howard and Aubrey Rabun; and grandnephew, Jackson Lambert.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 between 6:00 and 8:00 PM at Midland Park United Methodist Church in the Family Life Center, 2301 Midland Park Road, North Charleston, SC 29406. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL.
