Entered into eternal rest on Thursday evening, September 22, 2011, Jill Rogers Davis, widow of Jack Davis. Residence, Charleston, South Carolina. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL from 5 until 7 pm.
Born on October 26, 1935 in Lakeview, South Carolina, Jill was the daughter of the late Stonewall Jackson Rogers and Nan Moody Rogers. She was a former employee of Cavallaro Restaurant, Pepper's Tavern and Wallygators, and former owner of Jill's Place.
She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Jordan Pye and husband Artie of Charleston, Jill Jordan Weatherford and husband Chuck of Charleston; twin brother, Jack Rogers and wife Veda of Statesville, NC; four grandchildren, Chrissy Patterson, Travis Weatherford, Shona Nolan and Charlie Newman; six great grandchildren; a former spouse, William Albert Jordan of Mt. Pleasant and several nieces and nephews . Mrs. Davis was predeceased by a sister, Bobbie Jean Gatlin; two brothers, Ted Rogers and Ralph Rogers; and a great grandson, Jordan Pritchard.
