Jerry Dixon Walker

Jerry Dixon Walker, 64, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Barbara Jean Tidwell Walker died Monday, August 31, 2015. His graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, September 3, 2015 in the Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road.

Jerry was born November 10, 1950 in Orangeburg, SC, son of the late Julian Dixon Walker and Nell Kinard Walker. He was a Junior volunteer firefighter in Cheraw, SC. Jerry was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and worked for Sherwin Williams Automotive Paint for 35 years. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Walker of North Charleston, SC; daughter, Carrie Outlaw and her husband, Sitnotra of Panama City, FL; son, Eric Walker of Hickory, NC; mother, Nell K. Walker of North Charleston, SC; four grandchildren: Toryn, Sitora, Cheyenne and Tristan; sister, Judy Moody and her husband Ross of North Charleston, SC; two brothers, Charles Walker of Goose Creek, SC and Jay Walker and his wife Mary of Taylorsville, NC.
