Jerry Hobart Bishop, Jr., 80, of Charleston, South Carolina, widower of Patricia Ann Batson Bishop, entered into eternal rest Friday, August 24, 2012. A Prayer Service will be held Sunday, August 26, 20,12 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL at 4:00 p.m. Interment, Monday, August 27, 2012 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, SC at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel.

Jerry was born August 22, 1932 in Cedar Mountain, North Carolina, son of Jerry Hobart Bishop and Susie Huffman Bishop. He was a retired network manager for BellSouth and a member of Telephone Pioneers Association. Jerry was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his son, Jerry Charles Bishop of Dallas, TX.
