Jerome Durham Knight, 81, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Sandra Jean Hutchins Knight, entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 23, 2016. His Funeral Service will be held at the graveside Monday, June 27, 2016 in Harleyville Cemetery, at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Sunday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Jerome was born December 23, 1934 in Harleyville, South Carolina, son of the late Arlee Knight and Maude Weathers Knight. He was a US Army Veteran and a retired Electrician with the Charleston Naval Shipyard.

Jerome is survived by his wife of Adams Run, SC; daughter, Charlotte K. Grimes of Charleston, SC; three sons: Charles Knight (Alyssa Domings) of Adams Run, SC; Jerome Knight (Sandy Burnett) of Summerville, SC; Ronald Knight (Claudia) of NJ; six sisters: May K Day, Thelma Knight, Frances Ardis, Dot Smith, Catherine Reeves (Leclair) and Marie Weathers; two brothers: James Knight and Wallace Knight Dicksie; eight grandchildren: Caleb Knight, Calabell Knight, Savannah Bryan, Christina Bryan, Rebecca Bryan, Colzy Knight, Victoria Knight and Kylie Knight.
