Jeri T. Clarke

Jeri T. Clarke, 93, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, September 21, 2023. Her private graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2023, in the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 3:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Jeri was born August 22, 1930, in Lake View, South Carolina, daughter of the late Joel Townsend and the late Elizabeth Barbour Townsend. She was a graduate of Aynor High School class of 1949 and the Roper School of Nursing in 1952. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist church and will be remembered for the way she loved her family.

She is survived by her children, Carol Clarke Bourque (Dave) of Isle of Palms, SC and William Sims Clarke III of Sumter, SC, and her grandchildren David Clarke Bourque and Mary-Townsend Bourque. She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Clarke, Jr. and daughter Lee Ann Clarke.
