Jerry (Jerel) E. Johnston passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 in Mount Pleasant, SC. 

Born on October 4, 1947 in Baldwinsville, NY, he graduated from Jordan Elbridge High School class of 1965. A proud member of the U. S. Navy and a Vietnam Veteran, he retired from Lockheed Martin in Syracuse, NY in January 2008 with 40 years of service. After moving from Liverpool, NY to Mount Pleasant, SC in June of 2010, Jerry was an avid golfer and member at Crowfield Golf Club for many years.

He is survived by his wife Kathy; son, Kenneth H; siblings, Babetta Peck, Haldon L. Johnston, Sr. and Denise Brightman; eight grandchildren, Amanda J., Tyler J, Colin D, Jack D, Harlow D, Rosie D, Ellie D and Griffin D; and stepson, Jay Deason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Lewis J. 

A private burial will be held in Mount Pelia Cemetery, Martin, Tennessee.
