Jenny Harris Altman, born on January 30, 1946, wife of the late Marion Tucker, Jr., passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026. Her presence will be dearly missed and her enduring spirit, kindness, and compassion will long be remembered by all who knew her.

Jenny grew up with a genuine devotion to helping others, a quality that defined her throughout her life. After graduating from Midland Tech, she went on to pursue a career as a dental hygienist, where her gentle demeanor and unwavering care put countless patients at ease. Her dedication to her profession was only surpassed by her devotion to her friends, family, and neighbors. Known lovingly , she was the "neighborhood mother to all," Jenny had a unique ability to make those around her feel seen, supported, and loved. If someone was in need, Jenny was there—offering comfort, open arms, and listening ear. Her home was a sanctuary for friends, family, and neighbors alike, as she believed there was always room for another at the table.

She is survived by a son, Marty Altman of Mt. Pleasant: her grandson, Taylor Tucker Altman. She was preceded in death by a son, Marion Tucker Altman III and her parents, William Ralph Harris and Katherine Harris.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 29,2026 , 12 Noon in the J . Henry Stuhr Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
