Jennings Bryan Watts

July 14, 1934 — March 15, 2011

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of March 15, 2011, Jennings "Jim" Bryan Watts, husband of Shirley Jacobs Watts.  Residence, Charleston, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Watts are invited to attend the funeral services of the former Sunday, March 20, 2011, at 1:30, at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.  Committal services will be conducted Monday, March 21, 2011, at 1 pm at Beaufort National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 5 until 7 pm. 


Mr. Watts was born in Gastonia, North Carolina on July 14, 1934, son of the late Lawrence Isaac Watts and the late Ora Lee Lucas Watts.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a retired Fleet Manager with Jones Ford.  Jim was a member of The Ashepoo Hunt Club and Palmetto Gun Club.


He is survived by his wife Shirley Watts of Charleston; his mother-in-law, Eleanor Jacobs of Charleston; three daughters, Linda "Michelle" Williams and her husband Robert of Klamath Falls, OR, Jody Sheahan and her husband Terry of Charleston, Stephanie Watts of Summerville; a son, Michael Watts and his wife Angela of Meggett; a sister, Jeanette Timmerman of Cherryville, NC; thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer, Candace, Emily, Korinna, Teddy, Thomas, Kayla, Michael, Riley, Morgan, Tony, DJ, and Ava; and three great grandchildren.
