Jennifer Elaine Fletcher, 55, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Bryan Lee Fletcher, entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 8, 2024. A memorial gathering will be private for immediate family. Visitation and receiving of friends will be Sunday, February 18, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

Jennifer was born June 17, 1968 in Columbus OH, daughter of the late Norman David Thompson and Marcia Smith Thompson. Jennifer spent her youth growing up in the Hudson Valley village of Rhinebeck NY. Jen was a track and cross country runner in high school. Jen embodied all the style and vibes of being a child in the 70’s and being a teenager coming of age in the 80’s.

Jennifer moved to Charleston SC in 1991 where she met Bryan Fletcher in 1992 and later married in 1998. She became a loving and powerful mother of two daughters. Primarily a homemaker, Jen also worked in several customer service and banking jobs over the years. Jennifer was always very accomplished in the kitchen, constantly creating and innovating dishes for family and many others to enjoy. Jen was not only creative in the kitchen but also in artistically fabricating in cloth. From clothing, to upholstering furniture as well as an impressive quilt collection. Jen’s imaginative work in the kitchen and at the sewing machine were all self thought and most all the best works were made to be given to others. 

In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters Jessica Leigh Fletcher and Madeline Elaine Fletcher and her sister Laura Thompson.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by siblings Theresa Thompson and Timothy Thompson.
