Jennie Padgett Appleby

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of April 17, 2012, Jennie Padgett Appleby, widow of George Preston Appleby of Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends at Stuhr's Downtown Chapel, Wednesday between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Appleby are invited to attend her funeral services at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Born June 1, 1928 in Varnville, SC, Jennie was the daughter of Henry Padgett and Jane Klainge Padgett. She was a member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church. She was a dental assistant for many years and retired from MUSC Family Practice.

She is survived by two daughters: Jane A. Branch and her husband Bob of Chapin, SC and Cheryl A. Farahani and her husband Khosro of Reston, VA; a brother: Clarence Padgett and his wife Vera of Salley, SC; four grandchildren: Mark Branch, Michele Branch and her fiancé Aaron Cowden, Nusheen Farahani, Shereen and her fiancé Farhad Gholizadeh and nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express our sincere thanks to our many special friends and caregivers for their support over the past several years.
