Jeffrey Johnson

January 24, 1955 — August 17, 2013

Jeff Johnson, 58, of Johns Island, South Carolina, loving husband of Patsy Johnson, passed away peacefully at home Saturday afternoon, August 17, 2013. He courageously fought his battle and is now celebrating victory with his Heavenly Father. Jeff was born January 24, 1955 in San Diego, California, son of Dale and Mary Lou Johnson of Huntsville, AL.

Jeff was a master craftsman and artist, a man of many talents. He enjoyed woodworking, making stained glass, playing guitar, listening to music, reading and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jessica Perez (Daniel) of Athens AL; a sister, Deb Ratcliffe (Rick) of Nova Scotia; a brother, Brad Johnson (Belynda) of Madison, AL; two grandsons; three nieces; and his "girls", Shay, Fancy, and Kitty Belle. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Jason Johnson.

Jeff was a quiet peaceful man, slow to anger and quick to forgive, who was loved and will be missed by many friends and extended family members. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in Johns Island Presbyterian Church, 2550 Bohicket Road, at 11:00 AM Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Memorials may be made to Johns Island Presbyterian Church, 2550 Bohicket Road, Johns Island, SC 29455, or to the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the 6th floor at MUSC Ashley River Tower who lovingly cared for Jeff during his final days.
