Jeffrey Mark Holbrooks

Jeffrey Mark Holbrooks, 64, of Summerville, SC, died Monday, June 14, 2010 at a local hospital. Born October 17, 1945 in Norfolk, VA he was the son of the late Wayne Elbert Holbrooks and Velma Jane Bullock Holbrooks. He earned both his bachelor and master's degrees from the Baptist College, now known as Charleston Southern University. He was employed by Central Texas Colleges Consortium and traveled the world by sea while teaching English to sailors. Jeffrey wrote short stories as well as numerous texts in his chosen field.  He will be deeply missed by his life partner, JoAnn Spangler, his sister, Cynthia Witt, both of Summerville, SC; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday June 19, 2010 in the chapel of J. Henry Stuhr, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.
