Jeanne Ann Valentine was born October 26, 1938, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Maxwell and the late Eleanor Allen. She passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, at the age of 87 with her sons at her side.

Jeanne is survived by her sons, Kevin (David) and Stephen (Karin); their granddaughters, Devin (Joey) and Ciera; and great-grandchildren JJ and Charlotte. She is also survived by her brother Jim and her sisters Carol and Judy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Edwin Valentine and her sister Bobbi.

Jeanne graduated from San Bernardino High School in San Bernardino, California in 1956 and shortly thereafter married her high school sweetheart, James Valentine, in 1957. Their enduring partnership spanned an extraordinary 69 years.

Jeanne attended Foothill College and obtained her Dental Hygienist license. She supported the family so James could pursue his orthodontics degree.

Jeanne enjoyed tennis, dining, and aerobics, pastimes that brought her joy.

After retiring she and Jim lived in Wild Dunes before relocating to Franke at Seaside, where she continued to cherish time with her beloved family.

A memorial service will be held on October 19th at Rodenberg Chapel at Franke at Seaside, 1500 Rifle Range Rd., Mount Pleasant at 11:00 am.
