Jean Hewston Simmons

Jean Hewston Simmons, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Ralph Baxter "Bo" Simmons, Jr. entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Her Graveside Service will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 in Old St. Andrew's Parish Churchyard, 2604 Ashley River Road at 1:30 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.
Jean was born February 10, 1932 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late William B. Hewston and Ruth Williams Hewston. She was a volunteer for AnMed in Anderson and at Roper Hospital in Charleston. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Rebecca S. Johnston of Charleston, SC; two sons: Ralph B. Simmons III (Linda) and Andrew B. Simmons (Debbie), both of Anderson, SC; five grandchildren: Elizabeth Smithson (Justin), Rebecca Hoyle (Justin), Daniel J. Simmons, Matthew R. Simmons, and Sarah Simmons; and three great-grandchildren: Hayes, Grayson, and Lila.
