Jean Tothill Rutland

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of July 29, 2010, Jean "Gram" Tothill Rutland, widow of Kenneth Eugene Rutland.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the graveside in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, Monday, August 2, 2010 at ten o'clock.  The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Sunday afternoon from four until six o'clock.  Memorials may be made in memory of Jean Rutland to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 712 Wappoo Road, Charleston, SC  29407. 

Mrs. Rutland was born on November 10, 1925 in Lockport, New York, daughter of the late Searle and Ethel Angevine Tothill.  She attended St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker.

Surviving are two daughters, Dian Goodwin of Charleston, Onalee Avinger and husband Randy of Charleston; a son, Terry Rutland of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Joan Eggert of Asheville, NC; brother, Norm Tothill of Olcott, NY; thirteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
