Jean Marie Martin, 67, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 31, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 in the St. John's Episcopal Church, 3673 Maybank Highway at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Dr, North Charleston, SC 29405. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Jean was born March 2, 1956 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Arthur J. Martin, Jr. and Camille Jennings Martin. Jeans passion was music, she graduated from University of Missouri-Conservatory with a Masters in music, and Bachelor in music education. Jean worked for the Charleston County School District at St. Andrews School of Math and Science, Buist Academy, Charles Town Academy, and Saint James-Santee Elementary/Middle School. She will be remembered as a loving sister, gifted musician, and a friend to all who knew her. 

She is survived by two brothers, John (Dianne) Martin of Charleston, SC, Paul Martin of North Charleston, SC; niece, Jessica Martin.

She was preceded in death by mother, Camille Jennings Martin; father, Arthur J. Martin, Jr.; sister, Debra Martin.
