Jean Iaquez, 84, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Gaetano Iaquez entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 4, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 12:00 pm followed by entombment at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel. 

Jean was born January 24, 1939 in Paterson, New Jersey, daughter of the late Anthony Cortese and the late Emmanuela Pugliese Cortez.  She will be remembered for the way she loved her family.

She is survived by her husband, Gaetano Iaquez of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three daughters, Gina Iaquez-Johnson (Kevin) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Antoinette Samuelson (Paul) of New Windsor, NY, Lisa Iaquez of Fort Lauderdale, FL; four grandchildren, Ashlely Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, Julia Samuelson, Peter Samuelson; and great-grandson, Jaxon Pritt.
