Jean C. Howe-Archer, 65, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of Mark Lee Archer, entered into eternal rest at her home Saturday, June 24, 2017. Her funeral service will be held at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, Mount Pleasant, SC, 29464, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 1:00p.m. The family will receive friends after the service at 736 Lavalier Square, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, 29464.
A visitation will be held at Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel, Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m.
Jean was born in Charleston, South Carolina on August 15, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Waring Howe and Sarah Howe. She was a paralegal as well as a guardian ad litem and loved to see people smile. She enjoyed collecting porcelain, crocheting, painting and most of all, her friends and family.
In addition to her husband of 29 years, she is survived by her children, Suzanne McCrary of Mount Pleasant, Philip Dunning, Jr., of St. Matthews, Lee Archer of Mount Pleasant and Benjamin Archer of Hanahan.; grandchildren, Ashley Starkey, Madison Dunning and Rachel Rich. She is also survived by her brother, Waring Howe, Jr. of Mount Pleasant.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, South Carolina, 29406.
